I'm currently working as a Research Programmer for the National Center for Supercomputing Applications at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. The main focus of my job is to create and maintain various internal web-database applications for NCSA, using PHP, Javascript, and AJAX.
Previous to this job, I was the webmaster for the Department of Crop Sciences, also at the University of Illinois. The largest part of that job was creating and maintaining the department's many websites - numbering 18 at the time.
Other interests of mine include beading (in beading circles I'm known as The Beading Banshee), reading fiction, getting together with friends, gardening (although I rarely seem to have time for that anymore), and most recently weight lifting.
